ABOUT ME
Jo Bradley is a Sydney-based theatre director, producer and dramaturg. Passionate about really good writing, she specialises in staging new and contemporary playwriting. She is a graduate of NIDA (Master of Fine Arts Directing) and UNSW (BA (Hons) in Theatre and Performance Studies.
In 2024, she founded her own production company JB Theatre Co, and directed and co-produced the Sydney Theatre Award Winning Australian Premiere of Snowflake by Mike Bartlett at the Old Fitz’s Mainstage.
In 2026, she will make her professional directing debut on the return season of Snowflake at Ensemble Theatre, Australia’s oldest continuously running professional theatre company.
She was recently awarded the prize of ‘Best Emerging Artist’ at Sydney Fringe Festival 2025, for her work as producer, director and dramaturg on the world premiere of Gia Ophelia by Grace Wilson.
She is also a writer and freelance theatre critic, and runs her own blog, Scribbles of Stage and Screen, as well as reviewing for Limelight. She is also script reader for a range of playwriting awards, commissions and festivals.
